Fidelity swells ranks of women leaders with new London trading head

Fund management group appoints first female trading head at its international business

Fidelity, the investment powerhouse with a recent history of appointing women to its most senior positions, has named its first female head of trading in London.

Victoria Kelly has been promoted to global head of trading at Fidelity International, the group's non-US business. She was most recently head of equity trading and will replace Mike Kopfler, who is returning to the US to take on a new role at Fidelity.

A spokesman for Fidelity International confirmed that Kelly will be the first woman to hold the role. He said: “Victoria has both sell side and buyside trading experience having held various roles at Citigroup and Nomura.

“She joined Fidelity in 2013 as head trader Americas and expanded her responsibilities to EMEA [Europe, the Middle East and Africa] in 2015. Victoria was promoted to head of equity trading in 2017.”
