Stephanie Cohen of Goldman Sachs and Gunjan Kedia of U.S. Bancorp are making their debut among the Most Powerful Women in Finance this year.
Stephanie Cohen is one of several newcomers in the 2018 ranking of the Most Powerful Women in Finance.
Cohen ascended to the chief strategy officer role at Goldman Sachs in January. But she turned even more heads when she was appointed to the company’s management committee in July. She is now the youngest member of the 33-person group and one of only seven women.
Also new to the ranking is Gunjan Kedia, vice chairman of wealth management and investment services at U.S. Bancorp. Of the company’s four core businesses, the one Kedia leads had the highest revenue growth and the highest return on equity last year.
Cohen and Kedia join other outstanding leaders from sectors such as capital markets (PNC’s Charlotte McLaughlin), asset management (JPMorgan Chase’s Mary Callahan Erdoes) and cards (Synchrony’s Margaret Keane).
