Circular Summit - 300 Female Entrepreneurs and Investors Meet in Washington, D.C.

6 Success Tips For Female Founders And Entrepreneurs

Although only 2% of venture capital goes to female founders and only .02% goes to female founders of color, they are creating 71% of U.S. jobs and 90% globally, according to Carolyn Rodz, an advocate for women entrepreneurs and the founder of Alice, a free digital platform that connects founders to resources to grow their company.

The more than 300 female entrepreneurs and investors came together in Washington, D.C., on March 1 for the Circular Summit hoping to change this equation. “Women, minorities and veterans are building companies at the fastest rates in history,” Rodz says. "However, the ecosystems, formulas and infrastructures have not caught up with the new faces of founders. We have to work together to create new sources of capital, enact laws that enhance small business and building networks that account for and celebrate the way we, women, do business."
